Rough-in is the distance from the finished wall to the centre of the closet-flange bolts. It is the single measurement that most often rules a model out, so the app asks for it first.

Measured from the bowl centreline to the nearest wall, vanity or door swing on each side. The tighter of your two sides is the one that decides the result.

You told the app you weren't certain whether the outlet is GFCI-protected. That answer stays unknown — it is not rounded up to a pass, and it is not counted as a failure either.

The stance
This is a compatibility report, not a sales quiz.
Nothing in the app is tuned to produce a purchase. There are no affiliate links, no sponsored placements, and no "recommended for you" ranking. A model either clears your measurements or it doesn't, and the report says which.
Every requirement is drawn from the manufacturer's own published specifications, and each check names the document it came from so you can read the source yourself rather than take our word for it.
Honest unknowns. A missing measurement stays missing. It is never quietly rounded into a pass.

Before you measure.
Do I need special tools?
A tape measure covers the dimensional checks. The pressure and flow questions ask for readings you can take at the supply valve, and the app explains how to get each one. There is no laser, no camera scan, and no proprietary hardware.
Why does something say "Needs a check"?
Because the app doesn't know the answer, and refuses to invent one. If you skip a measurement or tell it you aren't sure, that check stays open and the report shows it as unresolved.
This is the difference between a compatibility report and a marketing quiz. A guessed pass on a rough-in measurement is how a fixture ends up sitting in a hallway in its box.
Where do the specifications come from?
From the manufacturer's own published documentation for each model. Every requirement in a report cites the source it came from, and the app links out to it so you can confirm the figure yourself.
Which models are covered?
Version 1.0 covers 4 verified models. A model is only added once its specifications have been sourced from the manufacturer — the catalogue grows slowly on purpose.
Does it work without internet or an account?
Yes to both. There is no sign-in and no server call to complete a report. The only time the app reaches the network is if you tap a manufacturer source link, which opens in Safari.
Can I send the report to someone else?
Yes. Saved reports are written in plain language and can be shared with a partner, a contractor, or a plumber. Sharing is something you initiate — nothing is sent anywhere on its own.
Does this replace a plumber?
No. The app gives you measurements and a comparison against published specifications. It does not install anything, does not assess your plumbing or wiring, and does not substitute for a licensed plumber or electrician or for the manufacturer's installation instructions.
